soccer season!
Yay it's the World Cup again!! I can't believe that I've been in Aussie for the past 3 world cups...2002, 2006 and now 2010!! My TVs keep getting bigger too...and I'm so pleased with my current 46" flat Sony Bravia.
I'm rooting for Spain and Australia, as I did in the previous world cup...unfortunately after the disastrous game against Germany, I don't think the Socceroos will survive this round...though miracles can happen so I won't rule out the possibility of them going through. It will be a tough fight, especially after Mr. Cahill receiving his red card and having to sit out the next match. He's one of Aussie's key players and without him the team will really be hit hard. The most annoying part is that matches are being shown at 3 different times: 9.30pm, 12.00pm and 4.30am...and the matches I want to watch are always at 4.30am...which interferes with my sleep because I wake up at 7am to get ready for work and if I watch the match before leaving I barely get 5 hours sleep for the day and I remain a zombie for the rest of the day. Not good. So now I'm rooting for Spain to win the World Cup, with mah muy caliente Spanish boys...most of the time I'm ham-suping at them running around all sweaty and hot HAHAHA!!
Work is particularly hectic at the moment. I'm glad my family got to spend a week here in Melbourne at my place. I really enjoyed having them and seeing them again after 5 months. I will have to wait for another 6 months to see them again, but it's a price that I have to pay for choosing my work over my family at the moment. It's something I feel guilty about all the time but something I will have to live with for the time being until I am ready to move back.
It's freezing! Will write again soon after I upload pictures :) In the meantime, enjoy the world cup!!
