how vulnerable is an exposed heart?


People keep saying that I should open up my heart.

I think an open heart leaves me exposed to heartbreak.

Rejecting and closing up is just a defence mechanism on my part.

I just know that I will regret it if I allow it to happen.

I just know.

And I don't think I have the emotional capacity to deal with it right now.
