4 signs that exams are coming

4 signs that exams are coming and that I am getting "lup sup":

1. My bed, which is usually well-made every morning (sometimes afternoon *lol*) with my soft toys all arranged neatly on top, now looks like a heap of blanket with someone hiding below it

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

2. My table, which is usually very bare (because I like a lot of space) is now cluttered with books

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

(ok it's not THAT cluttered yet cuz some of my stuff is on the chair)

3. I start wearing my HUGE Winnie-the-Pooh sweater so I can feel lup sup and comfy whilst mugging

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

4. I'm subsisting on easy-to-prepare food

All I need now is a HUGE mug of coffee.

By the way Mich, remember we used to have crappy tute rooms in the Menzies and all the older buildings? They have renovated everything and now all the tute rooms look something like this:

As a side note, I am COMPLETELY and UTTERLY addicted to Josh Groban's song, "Remember", which was on the soundtrack of the movie "Troy" (now playing on my blog). I just discovered it when I was watching one of Josh's concert DVDs - he sang it live, open-air, with his orchestra and band - It was amazing - imagine how it would be if you were there live. I would be blown away. His voice is so rich and powerful. It was co-written by Josh himself and has very meaningful lyrics. Most of his lyrics are either very sad or very inspirational/comforting. It actually does give me hope in life.

It is a very mystical song - it is very powerful and has a rustic feel to it - hence the apt decision to use it for "Troy".

you speak my mind Juice

I was about to blog about something, then I read Juice's blog and realised that she had already put to words what was in my mind:

"It hurts everytime I can't get you out of my mind.

When the silence sinks in and there's no one around, you flood my mind like the ocean.

Everything around me,
where I sit,
where I work,
what I see,
what I read,
what I eat,
what I drink,
when I breathe,
when I sleep,
when I am with people,
when I am alone,
everything,
everywhere,
reminds me of you." ~Juice

moms are the best

Was feeling really low just now so I called home and had a chat with my mom.
My mom always knows how to make things better.
If I'm in doubt of anything I will talk to my mom because she always knows the right thing to do.
If I'm upset I will talk to my mom because she always knows the right things to say.
If I need to bitch about someone I will talk to my mom because she knows how to make me feel better.
My mom is not biased. She is rational. She is realistic. She gives a fair opinion. I can rely on her to tell me the truth.
I am confident now. I will do the right thing.
Moms always know best.
But my mom's the bestest.

Shipwreck

Just watched Pirates of the Carribean 3. I have no idea how many times they said the word "Singapore". What's up with that?! And Chow Yun Fatt - he was not bad, although I didn't understand half of what he was saying. And that octopus man finally died. Yeesh. How long does it take to kill one fish?? And the short blondie died too - Beckett. What was his problem?!

Number of stars: 4/5

An excellent effort - I don't usually like fighting and killing movies but this one kept me at the edge of my seat. And yes, it took a woman to lead them to victory.

Only gripe is that it's nearly 3 hours long, and you're thinking, get on with it already. The fighting scenes and effects were all good - only part was that it was quite gross sometimes with the eyeballs rolling out and brains and tentacles etc.

It was funny and it was tragic. It wasn't as funny as the 2nd movie but the love scene between Elizabeth and William was tragic - Imagine 2 people who love each other sooOOo much and they can't be together - that just rips my heart apart. Moreover, James Norirngton, Elizabeth's former fiancé, died for her - which was so noble - I felt so sad for him!!

Jack Sparrow even tried some lawyering - Bryan! I heard Res Ipsa Loquitur being mentioned!!

Anywho, those who haven't seen the movie yet, WAIT until the credits finish rolling because there's a scene that shows them 10 years later:

"After the credits, in a scene captioned "Ten Years Later," a young boy approximately ten years of age is seen singing "A Pirates Life for Me" as Elizabeth walks behind him. It is implied that this is the child of Will and Elizabeth. The sun sets followed by a green flash and Will, on the mast of The Dutchman, sails towards the shore. According to the film's writers, the curse of The Dutchman is broken if, after the ten years, the captain's lover remains faithful. The final post-credit scene suggests that Will can now return to land, as Elizabeth has remained faithful. The green flash, which symbolises a soul returning from the dead, supports this theory. Apparently, a scene of dialogue between Tia Dalma/Calypso and Davy Jones, which explained this, was cut from the film, leading to confusion about the ending."
~Taken from Wikipedia

Now I feel better.

Do you think there will be a 4th movie?

Most accurate horoscope prediction so far by THE AGE newspaper:

Aquarius:

This may be a time when you are going to go through some deep inner searching and it won't all be easy and could in some instances bring things to a close or it may even open new doors. Leave yourself open for each thing and trust it is for the best whatever happens. You may feel sorry for yourself too more often than not and feel displaced from those around you. You have always walked to the beat of your own drum - and now that others are doing the same, you have to either accept that or walk away.

On a TOTALLY different note...

Do you ever get lonely baby?
Don't you ever get tired of living that way?
Don't you ever wonder whether there's a better life out there ?
Do you ever think about what we had?
How you'd give anything to get it back
Don't you wonder if you'll ever love that way again?
~Shannon Noll "Lonely"

By the way, if anyone is interested in Spanish rock, you can check out this band: El Canto Del Loco (means "songs by a crazy person" or something like that haha - my Spanish is far from fluent). The lead singer is a friend of Fernando Torres! That's why Torres acted in one of their MVs hehe. They are like the Spanish version of Simple Plan.

let go

Let it go.

The only way to rid ourselves of the guilt, hurt, pain, longing, sadness, anger etc. is to let it go.

The only question is...are you willing to let it go?

Or has the guilt, hurt, pain, longing, sadness, anger etc. already become a part of who you are...so much so that you can't bear to let it go, or else risk losing a part of yourself?

Have we become unconsciously masochistic such that we can't live without the guilt, hurt, pain, longing, sadness, anger etc. anymore?

Or is it just an excuse to pity ourselves?

Is it worth the effort & energy?

It's too tiring.

It's too draining.

Last time I will see you this sem: 30th May 2007

I don't want that day to come.

"I want to know what I am to you
But I am afraid to ask...
'cos I dun want to find out that you are more important to me than I am to you."

Check out these 2 funny soccer ads. Fabregas appears in both of them but you only see him for like what, 2 secs in each. Pity. He's so frickin' hawt (muy caliente!!) and dreamy *lol*. The Pepsi one where he goes *muahh* to Henry is hilarious!!!

feeling a little empty

Forcing myself to stay up so that I can study. Exams in another 3 weeks *screams-whilst-yawning-at-the-same-time*. Don't know how I'm gonna make it *crosses fingers*.

Damn sien. I hate Lawyer's Ethics (oxymoron). It's supposed to be damn easy and commonsensical but my shitty lecturer makes it damn boring. When I listen to his lecture I'd rather just stab myself and die on the spot. He speaks so slowly and mundanely and keeps pausing for no good reason!! It's so painful to try listening to him and not falling asleep.

The Finale of Grey's Anatomy season 3 is excellent. I was super sad because of the way things turned out but that's life I guess. Can't wait for season 4!!

Feeling a little empty at the moment. Can't really explain why. Been doing too much thinking again.

Anyways I got this off Cheryl's blog. Interesting.

Congrats to my brother upon entering the only course in uni he's ever wanted his entire life!! :) I can only say that I'm proud of you.

Some people do it for the money, others do it for the prestige, but you are one of the rare few who's really doing it for the passion. And just because of that, you deserve it all.

random boliao-ness

Here I am at 3:10am in the morning blogging because I'm feeling, well, sien. These past few days have been very sien-sien for me. I don't even know how to explain it. This yoyo of emotions has been going on for some time and it's wearing me down. Methinks it may be menopause *OMG - starestare*. Anyways, I have no idea what's wrong (yea right I DO know but I won't admit it). Sometimes feel very high and extreMEly restless, then sometimes feel very low like dying *choy* liddat. *hiahz* Siao already bah I think.

Maybe it's just cuz exams are 'round the corner *sharp intake of breath and screams - OMGOMGOMG!!*. Numb already. Can't feel anything, not even a sense of urgency. Howhowhow??

Check out Josh Groban's Panda Sex Song on Youtube. Yea you heard me right. He composed a 50 second Panda Sex Song for the Pandas who need to breed to escape from extinction (you know the whole hoo-ha about pandas not breeding fast enough so people are making them watch panda porn - like how ridiculous is that la~). It's hilarious. He even winks at the end!! ~so cheeky!! :0P *grinz*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_T3P0RGsH0

Check out Harry Kewell's sUPerbly farnie face. I'd give someone a present for providing the best caption of this picture!! I duno what the hell he is doing *LOL*. I'm glad Kewell's back. He kicks ass and he's the best Aussie player so far I reckon...although "arguably" (Bryan's fave. lawyer word) Cahill, Neill, Viduka, Bresciano etc. are equally fine. *shrugs* I like them all *lol*. He will kick ass for Liverpool against AC Milan next week.

Check out the new song by TANK (Taiwanese singer, not the R&B singer). It's titled "Jie Tou Ba Wang" (my blog song) from his new album, "Yan Chang Bi Sai". I'm addicted. It's been playing on repeat mode on my playlist for like, ever. Very cool. Lyrics are good too. Chorus rawks. BlASt it REALLY loudly on ur stereo.

So much for this random sien-ness. I know what's wrong la. I'm escaping reality. Not only from studies. Hmmm~ I wonder if I get drunk will I spill everything? That's not good.

random acts of stupidity

I loveLOVElove Grey's Anatomy. It just seems to be getting better and better. I don't watch it for the medical point of view, I can't stand the sight of blood. I like it because it depicts real life with lots of piZZazz added to it, you know, the emotions and drama and all that girly stuff. The 3rd season is ending tomorrow and I'm so sad about that!! It's rumoured that 3 characters may leave the show permanently: Addison Montgomery (because she got a spin-off from the series), T.R Knight (noooo don't go George!!) and Preston Burke (what's gonna happen to Christina???).

I've watched the 2 episodes which apparently were in preparation for the spin-off, "Private Practice". I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think that it would be a good show to follow. It has an excellent cast (very good looking, mind you) and there's just something "feel good" about the show that I can't quite put my finger on at the moment.

Was listening to A1 again yesterday. I remember why I like(d) them so much.

My favourite song of all time is still "Everytime" by them. Josh Groban's songs come close though.

I can't believe it but Kenny Sia actually mentioned Dean Geyer on his latest blog post. And he actually said he was good (I sound surprised cuz I'm used to Amy saying that he's crap). I sOoo love Kenny Sia for that *LOL*. But Dean is taken - yup all you teenage screaming girly fans (including me) - He's dating one half of the Veronicas - Lisa O. And she just broke up with Ryan Cabrera too!! So happening! Oh wellies...*heartbreak* Me wonders if it is just to stir up press because his debut solo album is going to be released soon...

instability

One smile from you was enough to light up my world and brighten my whole day.

A smile that, although lasted for only a second, belonged to me and only me.

If only that second lasted a little while longer.

I'm such a sucker.

And there I was, "gila-ly" grinning to myself...

Until it started raining on me. Literally.

When will this cloud above my head leave me?

rage is a deadly sin

I woke up this morning a very angry person. (maybe that's cuz sleep-deprived people are more prone to rage).

I wasn't only angry at myself.

I felt deep feelings of resentment & hatred that I had built up over many years just flood back all at one time and hit me in the face.

And then it was like a tug of war in my brain between my good conscience (yes, I do have one, believe it or not) and my bad conscience.

I ended up with a splitting headache.

Why do I always get caught up in a tangle when emotions and relationships are concerned?

I always get stuck - I can't take a step back yet I can't progress. That's the worst place to be. Neither here nor there. Not in heaven yet not in hell. That's where I am.

I don't even know what I should do next.

I can't even ask someone for advice because no one will be impartial enough to give it to me.

Feel like breaking down but I can't cuz for so many reasons, I just can't.

Times like that when I turn to God.

Fly me up to where you are beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight to see you smile
If only for awhile to know you’re there
A breath away’s not far to where you are
I know you’re there

A breath away’s not far to where you are ~Josh Groban

Happy Mothers' Day!!

It's Mothers' Day today so I wanted to wish every Mother in the world a HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY!!!

If only every child was as lucky blessed as me and my siblings to have my Mom (and my Pa of course), the world would be a much better place.

I know every child will say their Mom is the greatest, which is probably true, but my Mom is truly the greatest.

The strength my Mom has shown in character whilst building our family has been inspiring. She always blames herself for short-changing us because she has to work and thus she never had as much time with us as stay-at-home Moms. But by working, she has been able to provide us with a very comfortable life, and together with my Pa, send me for an overseas education. And for that, I am truly and greatly indebted.

Of course it’s not the money that counts. But my Mom has been able to do it all. She’s an excellent Mother, sister, daughter, wife, aunt, daughter-in-law and friend, and on top of that, a kick-ass career woman.

It’s funny when she says that she’s worried she never has enough time for us, but there is not one time when I needed her and she’s never been there for me, even when I am in Australia. She always has time to sit and talk to us and counsel us with our problems so much so that she almost never has any time for herself. It’s always give, give, give, give, and I expect that she would be tired by now, but not my Mom.

So thank you Ma, for just being you.

With love,
Your favourite child :o)

oh happy days

I know exams are drawing near. I feel stressed yet happy at the same time (not necessarily a causal effect). I mean, I'm not happy because I'm stressed (or else I'll just be masochistic). But I'm just in a super good mood recently and I can't figure out why (I'm also VERY sleep deprived). I'm so tired yet nothing can get me down. Maybe cuz I'm baking again, which takes my stress away.

We baked 10 sets of apple crumble altogether over 2 days. I think we can set up a shop. It is the easiest recipe ever but it tastes so good (well of course, since it's made with love). And only special people get to try it. There are 2 things in the world that make me happiest: Singing and baking. And I'm doing both of them, which makes me UBER happy. :0)

Therefore tonight I made a decision. I am going to stay up ALL night to study.

uplate update

It is now 7am in the morning.

Wooohooo!! AC Milan beat Man U in the Champions League! Can't believe I stayed up to watch it. Mr. Cassie gave me a looonnggg tutorial on soccer until my head started to spin (but I was educated!). How come guys can remember/know so much about soccer and know so little about other things?? When it comes to soccer, my brother can write a whole thesis and more. When it comes to just having a normal conversation about any other thing, he becomes an introvert. *shakes head*

Now I'm just waiting for Josh Groban to perform on the morning show and then I can go and sleep. I should be in Sydney. He performed at the Opera House. Damnit. I can't believe he's in Aus now and I don't even get to see him live. However, he'll be back in Oct for concerts in Sydney and Melb so WOOOHOOOO!! Good things are worth the wait I guess. Just 5 more mths *dying inside already*.

I don't feel sleepy though.

I need to get back to study mode. NEED TO!!! SOMEONE MOTIVATE ME PLEASE!!!

frustration & disgust

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with myself and with other people. Somehow I can't get people to understand me. They always think I'm saying something when I actually mean something else. It's so annoying! Is it just me? Am I not bringing my point across well enough? What's the problem?!

People also can't seem to tell when I'm joking and when I'm not. When I'm joking, they think I'm serious and vice-versa. ARGH!!! I have NO CHEMISTRY WITH PEOPLE ANYMORE!!! WHAT'S WRONG?!

People are not what they seem to be. You think you know someone and you trust them, but they betray your trust. I'm so disappointed that words can't even begin to describe it.
