latest drama series
I'm currently watching...
The main characters are Ella from S.H.E, Jiro Wang from Fahrenheit and Wu Zun from Fahrenheit. This show has a total of 15 episodes but they have only just shown episode 11 in Taiwan. I'm waiting for episode 12!!!Adapted from the Japanese comic Hanazakarino Kimitachihe, this show tells about a girl (Ella) who sees a high jump champion (Wu Zun) on tv and is inspired by him. In order to get close to him, she cuts her hair and dresses up as a male and flies from America to Taiwan to enroll in the same school as he is in (because this school is an all-boys school). She tries her darnest not to let her secret out but unfortunately a few people can tell that she is a girl. The whole show revolves around Ella getting close to Wu Zun whilst Jiro watches helplessly in the background. Jiro thinks that he is bisexual because he has feelings for Ella (he doesn't know she is a girl)...he gets jealous when he sees that Ella is getting too close to Wu Zun. From the beginning, Wu Zun already knows that Ella is a girl because he accidentally touched her chest whilst trying to carry her to the doctor's office when she fainted. However, he does not tell her (and she still doesn't know) that he knows that Ella is a girl, for the fun of it. What happens next is a whirlwind of events that only bring them closer together. No prizes for guessing who is going to end up with the girl. I like this show so far because the actors and actresses all act very well, and the plot keeps me interested. I like shows like that. I tried watching the 1st episode of a few dramas like "Scissors, paper, stone", "Marry me!", "Hanayuridango" and "It started with a kiss", but all failed to keep me interested for more than 10 minutes. Moreover, the actors and actresses all suit their roles well. I couldn't imagine anyone else in another person's role.I'm not too keen on this show because it is slightly draggy, a tad too predictable and a bit unrealistic, but I guess that's what makes dramas, dramas right? I'm not too keen on the beginning song either (S.H.E's "zhe me ban"). I have to hear it everytime the show starts, it's VERY annoying. My favourite actor in this show is Jiro Wang. Once I saw him I was reminded of a friend immediately. They look so alike from the hair to the height, just that Jiro looks cuter and is funnier! He is the token sunny boy. Sooo uber cute. :) He acts very well in this show as a desperate, sexually-confused kid. Very convincing. However I would like to see him act as a quiet, mature guy. It may be a challenge for him.
My 2nd favourite actor is Danson Tang. He is super cool and exudes an air of confidence.
Yin's rating for this drama is: 4/5 = should watch, at least for the eye-candy
