*burp*Me is very happy. Me finally got to go to Krispy Kreme. It was crazy I tell you. For those of you who don't know yet, Krispy Kreme is the very famous American doughnut franchise. And after a VERY LONG wait, it finally landed here in Melbourne in the ulu-est possible place. So we drove down to try it because it's a 24 hour drivethrough (took us 20mins on the freeway). I pity the people working there. You should have seen it. We were astounded to see the length of cars queuing at the driveway. I'd probably have been more surprised if I hadn't come from Singapore, the land famous for queuing. Reminds me of the Hello Kitty phenomenon. Anyways, it's not only a drivethrough. People can also queue to get into the stall. There was a line of people but it wasn't very long. It also wasn't moving. Well I guess at 9:15pm only crazy people would be waiting outside in the freezing cold (not to mention, RAIN) for doughnuts. We were comfy in the car. So after 50 minutes wait (can u believe it), we FINALLY placed our order, and this is what it looked like: YUM. But too damn sweet. I think I'm gonna be diabetic soon. And ironic as this may be, I dun think I wanna have any more Krispy Kreme for a long time. It's too damn sweet man. My teeth hurt!! Moreover, we went over to Sang's house to test an apple crumble recipe (none of us have prior experience baking apple crumble, but I had craving for some and they don't sell it, so we had to make it). Success! Nothing is better than warm home-made apple crumble with vanilla ice cream - Not even Krispy Kreme.I feel sick now. But it was soooo worth it.
