Losing faith
My aunt is very sick again.
She's been in and out of hospital. Her stomach is full of water. Doctors inserted a tube into her body to drain the water. She has to carry that tube around all day. It pumps 1 litre of water out of her body everyday. Apparently according to the doctors (who are a bloody waste of time and money), her liver is causing the water seepage. It's failing. She's not eating because she has no appetite. When she eats, she vomits.
I heard that these are last stage cancer symptoms. She's not going to make it.
My mom says there is no God. She says if there is a God, He must be evil to let my aunt go through this punishment and pain. What did she do to deserve this pain?
I had no retort for that. And I felt very sad and helpless.
