Don't come to Melbourne. We are racist and have Swine Flu.
So I lied. I was supposed to blog AGES ago but I didn't. I now have no personal life. A huge contrast of what I was 2 months ago - when I had too much of a personal life. It's never a balance. So it's been work from 8.30pm to 6pm from Mon to Fri and Weekends are dedicated to friends and Juin, so there's no 'me time' so to speak. Then again I've gotten so used to having no 'me time' that I don't really miss it. All I feel is guilt for not replying to emails as often as I'd like to. I can't please everyone, you know ;)They asked me to work weekends and I said 'no' so loudly the whole office must have heard. I think no one has a life outside the workplace. Which is so sad. Because everyone needs time to stop and smell the flowers. To all my dear friends having exams now, all the best of luck! My dear sister is going through exam after exam for the next 5 months so I am keeping her in my prayers always, as I am my aunt. She is not getting better at the moment, and what made things worse was when her doctor told her she only has 3 months more to live and that there was nothing else he could do for her. She switched doctors immediately but the whole episode gave my mom a huge scare. Oh life. We take it for granted until we lose it. We forget it's fragile-ness. Is there even such a word? My England is going down the drain. By the way, tell all your friends not to come to Melbourne. We are racist and are now the Swine Flu Capital of the world. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere more fruitful. Japan perhaps.Don't eat at Grand Tofu 2 which just opened in Glen Waverley:1. Food took forever to come out;2. Service was lousy;3. Food was disgusting;4. I ate Assam Laksa and a fish bone got lodged in my throat and pierced it. When I managed to cough it up, it was covered in blood. The boss asked for feedback and Juin told her what happened. She was adamant that this always happens where fish is concered. Juin vowed never to go back again because of her sheer rudeness.Don't go to the Bubble tea stall in Chadstone (it's called Bubble Bubble I think). The other day we ordered Green Milk Tea with Pearl and the pearls came out soggy and disgusting and the drink tasted like water (the most horrible bubble tea I have EVER tasted). When we asked them if it was ok if they could make another cup, they refused and said that they can add milk powder to the already disgusting drink if we wanted. I gave them a horrified look and said I didn't want it anymore and walked away. What a waste of my $3.80.Life sucks in general. But it makes it all worthwhile having Juin and awesome friends. I mean REAL friends who listen to you. Who come to your rescue when you need them. Who love you as much as you love them. Not just random people on Facebook. Not colleagues you spend almost all your time with. Real friends. And for that, life is worth living.
